Days gone by…

So it has been a few days since I posted, a daily blogger I will not be it seems. Locally we’ve been having some good weather over the last week and just traveling the roads with work as is the norm. Got the winters on last week as I ran into some snow on the way to Revelstoke. Looking at changing up the work route as we have new classifications for our stores, will see how that goes over time. For my wife the next bit is about books…so you can skip it.

Reading…

Currently I am reading: The Scarab Path – Adrian Tchaikovsky the fifth book in the Shadows of the Apt series. Love the twist with the world and characters that have been created in this fantasy world.

I just finished Dracula: The Undead – Drace Stoker and Ian Holt, Drace Stoker is the great-grandnephew of Bram Stoker who as you know wrote the original Dracula back in 1897. I like the fact that they set the story 25 years later and with a few subtle twists in the story line to incorporate Bram himself. Incorporation of a few other historical villains round out the plot. I can’t give it all away, a good read in the classic gothic style.

Not much else on the reading pile as I have not found much as of late to pick up. Might see about getting a library card and see if they have any of the titles I want to read but don’t want to pay 20+ bucks a book for at the book store.

Halloween…

Halloween has come and gone with a visit for the kids to the mall for their Halloween mall crawl. Was sad to see some of the mall staff dressed up with some scary costumes when this is meant for little kids. Amethyst was scared by one staff member in her death mask face paint which left her crying and clinging to mom for a good portion of the remaining time there. But in the end it was a good time, though it was rather rushed and the place was packed making it hard to get around with the double stroller. And though we collected candy the kids didn’t get much of any of it.

 SocialVibe…

You might have seen the banner to the right for SocialVibe and The Children’s Miracle Network. I admit that the process is a tad commercial in its questionnaires and such but if it means the money is paid it’s all good. So try a few surveys or join SocialVibe and set up a banner on your own blog or website and pick a charity.

Comments and questions can be left above…

So enough for now…as some other sparkly has my attention…till next time…OH SO SHINY…
