Ice Racing…
So I was able to get out for the last day of ice racing today. I was hoping to try some motorsports photography and this was the nearest thing happening around me at this time of year. I tried some panning with the images for motion blur on the background but no luck. All I got was a photo that was all blur… I would have had to put on my ND Filter to try some slower shutter speeds but I wasn’t in the mood…been rather sick with Bronchitis so even being out today might not have been the smartest thing to do; but it was in the plus temperature ranges today and sunny so I risked it. It was pretty much high noon for the sun today during the time I was at the event and rather bright with the snow and ice, should have adjusted some of my other settings but nothing I could not fix after the fact. Played around with a little photo merge with a series of photos of a biker making a corner, I thought it turned out okay. As always let me know your thoughts.

Ice riding, wow. Looks so fun. Cold, dangerous but fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually it was quite warm out at around 5* Celsius, but yes the studs on those tires would tear you up pretty bad if you crashed and got hit by someone. They sure laid those bikes on their sides at times as well. Quite fun to watch, was my first time watching a live race.
